Cardiomyogenesis of pluripotent induced stem cells. Differentiation towards myocardial lineage was quantified by measuring levels of gene expression by qRTPCR in human autologous pluripotent induced stem cells (ahiPSCs) (patients C001-C006), human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) (lines H1, H9) – positive control), peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) (patients C001-C006) - negative control. In the three time points on the days 1, 5, and 12, the levels of transcripts for: pluripotency genes NANOG (A) and OCT4 (B) decreased, while the levels of transcripts for early myogenesis genes GATA4 (C) and MEF-2c (D) increased. The statistical significance was accepted for P < .05.
